FailurePerhaps the objective of this lonely night Of self-reflection, is more than at first perceived. Sitting in solitary shadow often encourages one To dwell into the deepest catacombs of their mind...Failure
To the place where all men fear to tread, For in its mirrors they see reflections of their own weaknesses. And while it takes one strong of heart and will To make it to the point of aphelion, It requires one even far more so To actually return with a sense of self-enlightenment.
And so the lessons I learn on this perilous journey Seem at a somewhat stark contradiction...

ChildishnessSitting in shadow, a young man makes his mark. Putting ink to paper; telling his story, bearing his heart. Yet mere observation would lay contradiction to his claim That he has been amongst the living for nearly two dozen years.Childishness
The purpose of his boyish appeal and childlike innocence Appears to be deceptively two-fold.
The more obvious of these is the disappointing fact that, Despite the passage of time He has never really lived.
Looking past the superficial, one would however realise That the real significance is to serve as a façade, Allowing him to act

DestinyThe path of solitude had been walked For but a few months shy of twenty-one years, Immersed constantly in a world of make-believe And having no one with which to share hopes and fears.Destiny
Yet one day, when life was in its darkest hour Fate intervened like a bolt of lightning from above, Bringing with it a host of previously-unexperienced feelings But most importantly the promise of true and everlasting love.
And while several factors may try their utmost best To cast obstacles upon their road to destiny, Both travel it unflinching and without a single moment's doubt

BrokenWhat started with a simple “Hello” Quickly became the focus of my affections. When you were happy, I would share in your joy; When you were sad, my heart would bleed.Broken
On many a cold and restless night Did your beauty give rise to passionate dreams; And I would drift effortlessly into slumber, Comforted by the thought of your lingering presence.
And although it now seems that I invested too much Into something that could never really have worked, I know in my heart that I have not a single regret: In fact, I would do it all over and over again.

From Time to TimeFrom time to time, remember me Remember how we were Remember what we did Remember how happy we were Remember me and smileFrom Time to Time
From time to time, forget me Forget how we were Forget what we did Forget how happy we were Forget me and carry on
From time to time, imagine me Imagine how we'd be Imagine what we'd do Imagine how happy we'd be Imagine me and cry
From time to time, dream Dream of your future, without me Dream of what you'd do, without me Dream of how happy you'll be, without me Dream and never regret.

When Alice fell down the rabbit hole it was darker than first expected. Cheshir cat wanted to claw out her eyes and the rabbit was more than dead, Mad Hatter's rhymes were a do-or-die deal. She wakes up on an operating table. The clockwork child is aware.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.
